The use of technology to enhance students' learning has become increasingly important in the last few years. This study looks at how the use of project based learning helps teachers infuse technology more easily into the curriculum they have to teach. Twenty seven grade six students were surveyed following a period in which they were immersed in a project based environment to determine whether or not they felt the use of projects made technology more important. The results of this survey showed that students felt the projects in which thay ware involved had a significant impact on their use of and need for technology. Recommendations for increasing the use of technology within the school setting include greater use of a project based or inquiry leaning approach that allows students to explore and question.
