dc.description.abstract | Inclusion of special needs students has become a reality in public school systems. The need for qualified and trained personnel capable of program planning and modification for the success of these students is increasing. This training program covers topics that will enable instructional resource personnel to assist schools in meeting the educational needs of all students. Information sessions, planning sessions and teacher training models covering documentation, assessment, Child Welfare protocols, individual program plans, community resources, and the organization of effective school resource groups are some of the major topics covered. This program was developed to specifically assist in meeting the needs of students in an area of the city of Calgary where there is a high proportion of identified "at risk" students. | en |
