Abstract

This project is the design of a twenty hour professional development course on mentorship for teachers based on the action research model. It has three sections: (1) the literature review of both mentorship and action research, (2) the authors reflections on personal experiences, on the current research, programs and resources related to mentoring and the development of this mentoring course, and (3) some of the course content. Rationale for, issues in and benefits of the course are examined.
