dc.description.abstractDuring divorce the well-being of the child may decrease because of reduced household income, changes in the home situation, and increased stress levels, which can create emotional, behavioural, and educational problems. This project focuses on providing parents with the tools to help their children navigate through divorce using attachment theory and developmental theories, as well as builds on the child’s individual resources. This tool consists of a psycho-educational workshop based on an extensive literature review incorporating best practices for families undergoing divorce proceedings. The workshop provides hands-on activities and knowledge for parents to use to strengthen the parent-child relationship. This workshop is designed to aid parents, counsellors, children, and public policy by targeting families experiencing divorce.en_US
