If it is negotiated, will it be used? An investigation into the use of sabbatical leave provisions by librarians

Abstract

Faced with the expectation of being engaged in some form of scholarly activity, a key working condition for academic librarians is the ability to apply for sabbatical leaves. This presentation will report on specific challenges identified by academic librarians with respect to their use (or not) of sabbatical leave provisions.
