dc.description.abstract | Everyone agrees that food security is a necessary goal and that Canada should have a national food strategy. Where there is disagreement is in how food security is best achieved and at the root of THAT disagreement is differences about what “food” is and what is meant by “security.” By telling the tale of two countries, Cuba and Canada, I will reference the challenges to food security inherent in our global food system, touch on some efforts to address these challenges at the national level, and then speak to my experience and actions taking care of my personal food security. | en_US |
