dc.description.abstract The purpose of this project was to create a group treatment manual for adolescent girls diagnosed with an eating disorder, who were concurrently displaying characteristics of perfectionistic thinking. In order to create the manual, an extensive literature review was conducted in the areas of eating disorders, perfectionism, and group therapy with adolescents. Further, an examination of the literature available on the relationship between the prevalence of eating disorders and perfectionism was carried out. The result is a manual consisting of 10 detailed sessions, including pre/post group sessions, complete with handouts and facilitator guidelines for working with this population. en
