Whether they realise this or not—and whether their experience at these sites is enriched by the recognition of the connections to other related objects and sites in the region—is determined in large part by the quality and coherence of the interpretative information available to them. This thesis focuses on how this interpretation is currently carried out at three sites, Hoddom, Ruthwell, and Bewcastle, and the possibilities for improvement based on the application of different media and technologies.</dim:field>
